Weihua Cranes for Water Conservancy Project


The 9 cranes provided by Weihua for the construction of Nianpanshan Water Control Project were delivered successfully.



Nianpanshan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Project, located in Zhongxiang City, is one of 172 major water conservancy projects for water conservation and water supply determined by the State Council to be included in the 13th Five-Year Plan. The total planned investment of the project is 6.636 billion yuan. It is a Class II large (2) project, mainly for power generation and shipping, and also for irrigation and water supply. Its normal pool level is 50.72m, capacity is 180MW, annual average power generation is 616 million kW • h, channel standard is Class III, and ship lock design standard is 1000t.



In this project, the customer has purchased many cranes, such as Weihua one-way gantry crane, fixed winch hoist, two-way gantry crane, trolley hoist, etc., which work together to accelerate the construction of Nianpanshan Water Conservancy Project.

1. The one-way gantry crane at the upstream of the sluice gate and the two-way gantry crane at the intake of the powerhouse are provided with a slewing crane at the downstream side, which increases the operating range of the gantry crane and improves the operating efficiency;

2. The drum of the gantry crane is designed with double-layer folded rope groove, which effectively avoids the phenomenon of disordered rope and rope friction;

3. Torque synchronous control of double lifting motors, for balanced force and stable operation;

500 Tons Ladle Crane Quality Assessment

On July 5, 2022, Weihua made a new metallurgical ladle crane with capacity 500t and the main structure was successfully finished. The quality assessment was held in the production workshop. It once again refreshed the manufacturing record of Weihua's metallurgical cranes.



The crane is designed for a metallurgical workshop of an Iron and Steel company, with a 4-girder 6-rails structure, lifting capacity: 500/90/15t, span: 20.7m, working duty: A8. It is the first capacity 500t metallurgy industry bridge crane independently developed by Weihua.



Weihua carried out the whole fabrication process control from pretreatment-unloading-welding-finishing-assembly to test. Using the overall boring and milling processing of large structural parts, overall annealing and assembly of the main trolley frame and the gearbox. It proved again Weihua has a mature and reliable production process and quality assurance system for large and super-large metallurgical cranes.



In the on-site quality assessment meeting, the crane appearance, camber, web verticality, waviness, wheel parity and other parameters were comprehensively tested, and all of them passed the review successfully:

1. Pass rate of non-destructive testing of all welds is 100%;

2. The camber, the height difference of the same section of the track, the wheel line, the track gauge of the trolley, and the straightness of the track are 100% qualified.

Intelligent Crane for Electrolytic Copper Industry Has Good Performance

The special electrolytic copper crane independently developed by Weihua was successfully delivered to a project in Guangdong. As the biggest highlight of this crane, the special lifting spreader for copper electrolysis is used for the automatic discharge and loading of cathode (starting plate) and anode plate. It has the advantages of multiple functions, high automation, reliable insulation, stable performance, etc.



The spreader is independently developed by Weihua. Its main structure is made of high-quality stainless steel, with high strength, acid corrosion resistance, excellent quality and greatly reduced cost. It is really the best choice for users to reduce costs and increase efficiency. In addition, the spreader also has the following features:




1. Specially designed plate arrangement function and discharging device ensure that the initial cathode plate can be smoothly put into the tank;

2. It can meet the requirements of separate lifting and overall joint lifting of cathode plate and anode plate, with high efficiency;

3. The method of combining pre positioning with precision positioning is adopted, and the positioning accuracy is ± 2mm;

4. The opening and closing of the flat push type liquid receiving tray are stable to ensure that the electrolyte does not splash out.

1. The crane has 3 operation modes: fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual;

2. The crane adopts frequency conversion and PLC precise control, with high-precision positioning;

180t Ladle Crane Deliver to Kazakhstan



Recently, 7 large-capacity cranes were shipping to Kazakhstan serving for a steel group project. The cranes including a 180-ton ladle bridge crane, a 90+90-ton semi-gantry crane, and a 100-ton bridge crane.






These cranes for metallurgy industry are designed with the European FEM standard. With modular design and modern computer technology, these cranes are fully automated, intelligent, suitable for the production site with a large temperature difference.









180-ton Ladle Crane Technical Features:

1. This ladle crane adopts a new rigid bridge structure with four girders, four rails and double trolleys, and the working level reaches A8;

2. The crane-weight is reduced by 10%, the height is reduced by 25%, and the width is reduced by 25%; the crane can be applied to the ambient temperature of -40°C to +60°C;

3. The new type of festoon cable power supply device that is resistant to high temperature radiation can operate reliably under the condition of high temperature radiation.









Technical Features of 90+90 ton Semi-gantry Crane:

1. This semi-gantry crane is a dedicated material charging crane for steel plant. The lifting capacity of the crane is 90+90t, the lifting height is 24m, and the working level is A8;

2. The crane is a latest design for the problems of limited production space, high risk factor of tilt-pulling and hoisting during feeding, and excessive wire rope tilt-pulling angle;

3. It adopts the structure of 3 girders and 4 rails, and 2 independent lifting mechanisms are designed on each trolley, equipped with a special four-point gantry hook spreader, and the two lifting mechanisms can realize the function of hopper dumping and feeding through their independent actions;

4. Finite element optimization check calculation of the overall structure, simulate the actual operating conditions of the crane, and reduce the dead weight and the wheel pressure by 10%;
